BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Md Abul Bashar is a leading expert in the field of data science, with a particular focus on data mining, machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence. With over eight years of dedicated research and development experience, he has made significant contributions to the field through a range of impactful projects funded by the Australian Research Council, government agencies, and private organizations.


Currently working as a Data Science Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Computer Science and an associate investigator at the Centre for Data Science at QUT, Dr. Bashar has been instrumental in developing theoretical research and real-life applications that have had a practical impact on the data science community and industry. The outcomes of these projects have been widely recognized, with publication in prestigious journals and conferences, media coverage from national and international outlets, and benefits for industry partners.

Dr. Bashar holds a PhD in Data Science from QUT, which he earned in 2017, as well as a B.Sc. (Engg.) from Shah Jalal University of Science and Technology in Sylhet, Bangladesh, which he received in 2008. His academic credentials and practical expertise make him highly qualified to conduct research and development in the field of data science and related technologies.
